Painting Easter Eggs

This was the first year we tried decorating eggs for Easter with Caden. He did a very good job . Now he can't wait until he can eat them with toast for breakfast.

Rock Chalk!

Caden and I went to the KU Women's Championship game today with our friends the Brown's and Spangler's. They were not able to pull off the win, but it was a very loud and exciting game. Caden's favorite part was the little Jayhawk playing basketball. We had a great time! Beware of the PHOG!!!

Spring Break in Florida

We just returned home from our Spring Break trip to Florida. We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Sullivan in Bonita Springs and had lots of fun adventures. We were able to see a space shuttle launch, we went to a children's museum, took an air boat ride, played miniature golf, went to a zoo, and of course... played on the beach. We even made a trip to the local urgent care center. Caden had a rash and it turned out he is just super sensitive to the sun. We spent almost a week there, but time flew by so quickly. Caden was very upset that he had to leave the sand. We had a great time and hope to do it again. I wish we could have brought the warm weather back with us!

World of Wheels

This was our first outing in six days since Caden caught the flu. The World of Wheels car show was in Kansas City. Daddy really wanted to go and was able to entice Caden with all of the "celebrities" that were going to be there. We saw Dora and Diego (although Caden was scared to get close to them), Kitt from Knight Rider, Speed Racer, and Jason Earles (aka-Jackson from Hannah Montana). It was fun, but we ended up coming home early because Caden's tummy started hurting again.

The First Annual "Tacky" Sweater Party

We decided to do something different for New Year's Eve this year and throw a Tacky Sweater Party with some of our friends and their families. Who knew that wearing the ugliest sweater you can find could be so much fun. There was a prize for the best tacky sweater. Can you guess who the winner was from the pictures? Here's to a fun and "tacky" 2009! (By the way...our friends aren't always this neardy looking...well...most of them!)

Christmas

Christmas was a lot of fun for Caden this year. He is beginning to understand what it is all about and he loves it (Well...he loves everything but Santa!). Our holiday was very busy and went by so fast. We began by going to Horton for the Sullivan Family Christmas and then we celebrated with Tim's family at his parent's house. Next we were off to western Kansas where we had Christmas Eve dinner at Bre's Great Grandmother's house and had Christmas with Bre's mom in Ashland. Finally on Christmas Day we went to Bre's Dad's house in Dodge City. Caden must have been good this year (or is just very spoiled) because we had a hard time fitting all the new toys into the truck to take home. The most important thing was that Santa brought the Batman fishing pole he has been wanting. The hardest part is finding room to store all of the new goodies at home. We were glad we were able to spend time with so many family members this year and we had a great holiday break.
