The First Annual "Tacky" Sweater Party
We decided to do something different for New Year's Eve this year and throw a Tacky Sweater Party with some of our friends and their families. Who knew that wearing the ugliest sweater you can find could be so much fun. There was a prize for the best tacky sweater. Can you guess who the winner was from the pictures? Here's to a fun and "tacky" 2009! (By the way...our friends aren't always this neardy looking...well...most of them!)
Christmas
Christmas was a lot of fun for Caden this year. He is beginning to understand what it is all about and he loves it (Well...he loves everything but Santa!). Our holiday was very busy and went by so fast. We began by going to Horton for the Sullivan Family Christmas and then we celebrated with Tim's family at his parent's house. Next we were off to western Kansas where we had Christmas Eve dinner at Bre's Great Grandmother's house and had Christmas with Bre's mom in Ashland. Finally on Christmas Day we went to Bre's Dad's house in Dodge City. Caden must have been good this year (or is just very spoiled) because we had a hard time fitting all the new toys into the truck to take home. The most important thing was that Santa brought the Batman fishing pole he has been wanting. The hardest part is finding room to store all of the new goodies at home. We were glad we were able to spend time with so many family members this year and we had a great holiday break.

New Family Member
We recently added a new member to our family. We adopted a three month old (now four month old) Great Dane/Hound mix from the humane shelter. Her name is Roxy. She's a pretty good puppy and is getting along with everyone. Well... everyone but the cat. Eddie's coming around though and I'm sure they'll be friends before long. We're excited to see how big Roxy will actually get. We might need to find a barn to keep our new horse in!

Halloween
Halloween was a lot of fun for Caden this year. I think he's finally beginning to understand how it all works. He had a fun party with his friends at daycare and then went trick-or-treating with mom. We started with the neighbors house and he kept wanting to go to just one more house. At the 19th house we ran into a high school boy dressed as a clown and that was the end of our fun. I'm surprised his little legs made it as far as they did. We had a good time and he made an awesome Batman. Now I have to figure out how to make all the candy disappear!
